Upcoming Events

As the season rolls on, there are a number of key events for CCT athletes are on the horizon.

On May 24th Rick Woods, Marc Warner and Mike Stearns will compete in the Mountains of Misery ride in Blacksburg, VA. This event features a number of climbs and over 10,000 feet of climbing in approximately 100 miles. If you have the legs and endurance for it, I highly recommend this event, it is very well run and quite fun.

Another event on the horizon is the New Jersey State TT championships. Dave Linenburg has been focusing on this event throughout the season and is looking for a strong performance at this event on May 31st.

Beyond this event the #1 goal for many of our athletes is the US Masters National Championships in Louisville, KY. The events run the week of June 30th. A number of CCT athletes will be competing in a variety of events, including Paul Lengermann, Marc Warner, Dave Linenburg and Mike Stearns. I will be racing as well, and we will be shacking up at the Hampton Inn Louisville East. It's in good proximity to the RR and TT courses. Feel free to come say hi!

Preparations for the National Championships are in full swing with May being a critical month of training and fine tuning. Riders will be spending significant time fine tuning time trial positions, doing interval work and putting in the mileage necessary to be on top form for the end of June.

In other news we have recently added an introductory plan at a lower price point, $175/month, to encourage new clients to join. I am always amazed at how quickly new riders improve once they start working with a coach. This is undoubtedly due to the accountability and clear goal setting that come along with a professional training plan.

Happy Training,
Peter Cannell
