Lay'n on the pressure

Couple of decent days of riding here. Monday was super easy, 30 min riding, lots of stretching and massage. A true rest day.

Tuesday I did 90 min nice and easy on the TT rig, cruising around enjoying the position and feeling fast. 230NP, not super super easy but nothing hard. Then that afternoon I did an hour on the road bike, couple of pops, so 2.5 hrs total, easy but not a total rest day.

This AM I did some Vo2 work on the TT bike. Since I'm doing friday's hill climb TT on my TT bike, I did these on a local hill, about 2 min up, then levels out. I made it through 6 intervals, but they sucked big time. Really painful. 90 min total time on that bike, early AM. Not toaally satisfied with the workout, I came home, ate, took a nap, went back out on the road bike around 1. Thougth I'd be able to do something, sprints, a few intervals, etc. Not happening. Legs were dead - so I took it super easy.

Tomorrow is total rest, then friday AM I'll do a short tune up ride, couple of pops, then relax and head out to asheville for my 6PM start. I want to ride well, I want to break my record from last year and put out big watts. Taking extra naps, sleep, eating well and focusing 100%. sub 17:01. Plan to get a great warmup, start hot, and do my best.

Looking forward to it - and I hope to report back sat AM that it went well.

ClientTestimonials

"When looking for a coach, I essentially wanted two things: to be attentive/available and to possess the understanding to provide thoughtful workouts/advice according to evidence-based principles. Peter has more than fulfilled these goals. He is responsive and thoughtful, typically returning emails in a few hours and frequently following it up with further thoughts once he has digested the question fully. I have already made significant progress in just a few months, and I look forward to continuing the same in the months/years to come."
