The form is good...

Headed out the door early this morning to enjoy this great weather. Sun just came up, nice enough for just arm warmers. Love it.

First few minutes, legs felt heavy, started to worry about the intervals, if I was recovered from the weekend, blah blah. Nonsense. No reason to give up or start with a negative attitude. If you are properly motivated, there *can* be a point during a workout where you simply cannot maintain power output on matter what, but for the most part it's rare for this to be the case if you are following a sound training plan.

So I hit the first 20, felt like crap for a few minutes then started feeling really good. Second one felt even better than the first, final few minutes were a real hard effort, but a nice negative split on both, best set I have ever done. Consistency has been really really good on these workouts and I'm seeing the benefits.

I knew it was a hard effort though - afterwards I barely felt like eating and was in a daze - like after a really hard race.

Powermeters have to be the best thing ever for someone obsessed with numbers, quantitative measures of performance and progress. Only when the form is improving though - on the way down they are evil.

ClientTestimonials

"In the time I've worked with Pete, my threshold power has already jumped significantly. Motivation is at an all-time high, weight is at a twenty-year low, and I'm chomping at the bit to pin on a number - something I haven't felt in a long time."
