In all seriousness

I did not actually eat 12 pineapples. nor did I do 3:00 Vo2s at 500w. Maybe one day. After two back to back VO2 days I'm totally ready for a rest day, maybe two. Tough work, short but super intense. I do really enjoy doing this type of work, but usually not till after I'm done. I do think it's key to be regularly doing threshold and VO2 intervals, otherwise you really loose your edge and focus. All with the right mix of intensity and recovery of course. Today I took a nice easy recovery ride - first on the road bike, then 20 min on the TT bike. I focused on staying in the TT race position, getting used to it. Not worried about power at all. Feels good - but of course I'm nervous about how I will feel out on course next saturday for my first TT of the year, the iron gate 10.5 mile TT. It's very low key, short and should be fun. I just hope I can still generate power on the TT bike. Looking to do a few intervals on it next week outside. -Pete
