Hard to get anything done with all this snow

Well, not here, but a little north of here.  Many of my customers were out of the office most or all of this week, what a pain.

For my friends and clients in the DC area - you have my sympathy, I never liked snow because it just meant I was stuck inside for some period of time - and since I hate getting all wet and dirty, i'd usually wait until the roads are totally dry before heading back out.  In DC that would be weeks at this point.  Good thing many of you have e-motion rollers out there.  Makes it bearable if not fun.  Of course I know one guy in particular who will be outside as soon as humanly possible.

I have gotten back into the groove of enjoying a nice (albeit short) roller ride in the morning, and since it's either been icy or in the 20s first thing in the AM, I haven't been on an outdoor AM ride in a while - all inside.  But that's fine, it only takes a few minutes to get dressed and ready, and I get to catch up on plenty of fox news while I ride.

Should be a really fun weekend - have a good client in town who is racing, staying with us Saturday night.

Plus, a 3 day weekend and lots of Olympics to watch on TV, who could ask for more?  Well, warm weather would be nice.  $15M tax free would be nice too.  Ok, I'll settle for some good TV, I can't complain one bit, life is good, very good, on sam snead drive.

Completely off topic - am I one of the few that worries about all the debt we are piling up - not to mention the simmering debt in the PIIGS countries?  I hope I'm wrong, I hope I'm just being a cranky bear in a "bull market" - but I don't have a good feeling about all this.  I don't want to be in stocks, any US dollar denominated assets or even bonds.  For the medium to long-term, I would feel very safe having assets in oil, gold and general commodities.  I'm not saying I think we should sell everything and have gold coins and ammunition - but I just have an uneasy feeling.  Feel free to email me your comments, thoughts, etc.

ClientTestimonials

"When looking for a coach, I essentially wanted two things: to be attentive/available and to possess the understanding to provide thoughtful workouts/advice according to evidence-based principles. Peter has more than fulfilled these goals. He is responsive and thoughtful, typically returning emails in a few hours and frequently following it up with further thoughts once he has digested the question fully. I have already made significant progress in just a few months, and I look forward to continuing the same in the months/years to come."
