A fabulous Monday

Today was just about as perfect a monday as one could ask for.  It's only 4:00, so it could still go off the rails, but so far a great day.

My training has been a bit strange these last few months, working through some issues but still able to ride for an hour, 90 min max.

Today started out like most mornings, up at 4:30, greens+ bar covered in peanut butter and coffee.  Great way to satisfy the "i'm starving" feeling I usually have when I wake up.

It was still wet out this AM, so I opted for rollers - and did a single 1x25:00 effort at 97%, then some microbursts that felt like death but in a good way, over and one with in an hour.

It was a home office day for me, no meetings so I got to enjoy being home while Kristy had the day off.

I got out for a second ride at lunch time, another short one, with 8 quality sprints done in the glorious sunshine and 60 degrees.  THIS is why I love NC in the winter.  Usually great weather.  My sprint power is nothing to write home about, but I'm improving, and I like to sprint.  It's fun.  But I suck, 1200w peak 5s is about all I can manage.  But I am pretty good at getting into the right position to use it, so watch out.  I even won a pro/1/2 race in a field sprint.  Once :)

Cheers,
Pete
